Dynamic Accompanying is more than a course.
It’s a step-by-step method designed to help pianists like you—who can read music but feel completely out of their depth when it comes to accompanying—gain the tools and confidence to start collaborating and get paid for it.
Whether you're dreaming of playing weddings, supporting choirs, working with vocalists, or teaching your students to collaborate, you're in the right place.
Because the truth is—you're probably more ready than you think.
🎹 And this course is going to prove it.
You’re a pianist with decades of solo pieces under your fingers…
…but the idea of accompanying a singer or showing up for a paid gig makes your stomach drop.
Maybe you’ve turned down opportunities (even though you wanted to say "yes").
Maybe you’ve told yourself you’re “not that kind of pianist.”
Maybe you think there’s some magical skill or degree other accompanists have that you don’t.
But deep down, you wonder:
“What if I could actually do this?”
You're comfortable playing alone, but what if you had the skill—and the confidence—to say "yes" to those choir rehearsals, weddings, church gigs, or musical theater auditions?
You're not alone—and you’re exactly who Dynamic Accompanying was made for.
The Dynamic Accompanying course by Dr. Rachel Ehring is well worth its weight in gold! It helped me to become more confident in my own accompanying abilities in so many areas of the music world! Sharing with class participants was a joy each week! I can't recommend this very well-done course enough!
Dr. Ehring has so much helpful information packed into this course but it was not stressful to complete! It is also filled with encouragement to start from where you are with the tools in the 'tool belt' to go for it!
I've always felt nervous to say yes to certain events like weddings, but now I feel like I can. This course is well-thought out and gives organized instructions to learn how to accompany in many different settings and situations.
“The skills I gained from studying with Rachel have been invaluable to me in my career as a professional musician. Rachel’s practical tips are simple enough to implement right away but deep enough to challenge even the most accomplished pianists.”
I’ve made my career out of accompanying—in every setting imaginable.
From university recitals to musical theater pits, orchestral reductions to worship sets and open scores—I’ve lived and breathed collaborative piano for over two decades.
I hold a Doctorate in Collaborative Piano, have taught at the university level, performed across five continents, and currently direct a thriving conservatory while hosting a top-rated music podcast for musicians like you.
But I wasn’t born knowing how to do all this.
I learned it—and so can you.

If within the first 14-days of the course, you don't feel confident that this is the place for you, simply reach out, show us that you have put in the work, and we'll refund your investment.
You should be proficient at reading music and basic piano technique. You do not need to have any experience accompanying, but a basic level of piano skills is expected. This course does not teach piano technique or note reading.
The course will start off by defining terms and explaining the differences between collaborative piano, accompanying, etc. You will be "speaking the language" by the end of Module 1!
If you decide within the first 14 days of the course that it isn't the right fit, simply reach out, show us that you have put in the work, and we'll refund your payment.
The course is fully digital (online) and you will get access to one module per week for 5 weeks. There will be video lessons for you to watch, piano accompanying exercises for you to practice, and monthly group coaching calls where you can ask questions and check in on your progress.
This will vary based on how much you want to put into it, but you should plan around 2 hours per week to watch the videos, practice the exercises, and attend the monthly group coaching calls.
You just have to start.
Dynamic Accompanying was created for pianists who are good musicians—but don’t feel good enough.
The ones who assume they’re missing something…
The ones who avoid saying "yes" to paying gigs because they don’t want to mess it up…
The ones who secretly wish they could do this, but don’t know where to start.
This is your start.
You walk into a rehearsal with confidence.
You know how to follow a conductor, support a singer, read a lead sheet, and adapt—because you’ve trained for this.
You’re not guessing. You’re not faking it.
You’re prepared.
You’re capable.
You’re paid.
And maybe for the first time in your life—you finally believe you deserve to be there.
